    Hi Guys,

So my beloved 4 year old HP dv5-1012ea finally bit the bullet with algorithm hardware acceleration on the Nvidea 9600MGT amongst various over breakages making it more frankenstein than HP. I had such a great user experience with my HP that it's replacement will be another.

Current models I've looked at are the dv6-617sa, G6-1257sa and the G6-1259sa.

I'm not looking to do much gaming on the machine, hence I'm not too bothered with GPU, but where do the current Intel integrated graphics stand?
I'm more interested in build quality, reliability and processing power.
Looking to do some machine virtualization amongst other demanding tasks and I'm not really wanting to spend much over £500 - I know I'm asking a lot for that price.

Quick run down of the specs:

    dv6-6176sa £549.99:
    • i3-2310M CPU
    • Dedicated AMD Radeon HD 6490M
    • USB 2.0 & 3.0
    • 500GB HDD
    • 4GB RAM
    • Beats audio - novelty? or am I missing something?

    G6-1257sa £449:
    • i3-2330M 2.2 GHz CPU
    • Integrated Intel HD GPU (not much more I can find on chipset)
    • 4GB RAM
    • 640GB HDD
    • Read the note book review that states G6 build quality is questionable. Is it that bad?

    G6-1259sa £479:
    • i5-2430M 2.4GHz CPU
    • Integrated Intel HD GPU (not much more I can find on chipset)
    • 4GB RAM
    • 500GB HDD
    • Read the note book review that states G6 build quality is questionable. Is it that bad?

Any input from the models mentioned or anything similar that's available would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

Posting a follow up in case anyone else is in a similar situation.

After being able to physically see the laptops; the build quality difference between them was huge.
The G6 felt like I would break it eventually with general use, never mind any accidental drops or bumps, while the dv6 felt far superior with the steel casing.

So a ~£100 price difference for a better build quality case and a dedicated GPU while taking a hit in processor grade.
Seems worth it, if anything I might upgrade the CPU at a later date.

So now what owners lounge (if any) is there for the dv6-6176sa?
