For those of you who have 12-cell battery compatible with the dv5t-1000 series...could you please tell me what the HP part # is? It should be on a sticker right on the battery itself. Planning to order one off amazon or somewhere cheaper...

    Thanks.

**By the way, if you guys have any suggestions as to where to buy the cheapest 12-cell battery for this notebook, that'd be awesome. I'm gonna start looking tonight. Thanks again.

The part number is KS526AA from HP or SPS-484172-001 from the battery sticker. For HP batteries check links below.

HP: $149.99, plus tax, with free shipping

NewEgg: $127.99, no tax, plus shipping

The one at NewEgg was on sale a few weeks ago for $99.99 but that looks to be over now. :(

Aftermarket though, I've never tried. Perhaps someone else here may have some experience and suggestions. Be advised however, that some of the aftermarket 12 cells do not include HP's built-in LED battery level indictor that's visible from the right side of the computer when installed (if that matters to you).
