Does anyone know anything about the dv5-1157ca that is being sold at Staples ( click)
pictures would be the best if you've got them :)

Internally its the exact same as a DV5T, but the picture on Staples' site is wrong so I don't know about the ports or the case

What do you mean by "the picture on the Staples's site is wrong"? The staples site has multiple picture linking issues so maybe when you clicked the image for a larger view, it showed you the wrong one.

As far as I know(and I work at Staples, so I saw that laptop yesterday), that laptop is a genuine dv5 design >.>

The image they have on the staples website is for a dv7 model, hence the number pad. The dv5 has no number pad (if i am not mistaken). However those specs are correct.

I picked up one of these dv5-1157ca's Monday. It's still in the box and what not right next to me, however as it is for my brother's girlfriend, sealed it will remain until I give it to her this weekend in Montreal. :)

If you want me take a few pictures of the box and the side label of the specs, let me know and I will gladly do it..for a booster juice lol (kidding)..but yeah let me know :)

I would be all over that Dv5 if it wasn't for the 1280 x 800 native resolution
