I was wondering if their are any reviews for HP's dv5222nr? I have looked every where and i dont see any. Is this because it is new. Or people just dont buy it?

    Thanks

The dv5222nr belongs to the dv5000z series. Look for reviews for the dv5000z and you will see many. It is unlikely you will find reviews for individual models since HP allows people to customize their notebooks which results in many many combinations.

    Hee's some...

just fyi the dv5000z is not as good as the dv5000t, its better to stick with the core duos and their exceptional performance margin over the amd "desktop" cpu's atleast until their new platform comes out (i forget what its called, but its supposed to compete with centrino). same laptop same specs better cpu!

'nr' can be a 'z' or a 't'. The 'nr' tag indicates that the laptop is sold exclusively by Best Buy. It is not a model on its own. There are similar tags which indicate either the market in which the laptop is sold(like US, CA, EU, AP etc) or the specific retail stores in which the laptop is sold(wm walmart, nr Bestbuy...)

As I said before since HP allows their laptops to be custom ordered, the ones sold in retail stores get a model number like dv5222nr or dv5012wm or dv5XXXus/eu... The model number is used to differentiate between the specifications. Other than the model number and varying specfications, your dv5222nr is the same as any dv5000z which can be configured at HP.com. Since HP changes the specifications of their retail models quite often there wont be many reviews for a specific retail model. But the general review of the dv5000z should give you good idea on the build quality, battery life and relative performance.
