I'm trying to buy a laptop and i've narrowed it down to these 2 models...dv6t and G62. Thing is...they both look "almost" identical. Im not sure which one to go for.... In other sense...which one is better?

Ps. the dv6t's screen is LED whereas the G62 is BrightView. Is there a difference here? I played a short video clip on both of them side by side and honestly....i dont see any difference.

    Thanks for any input guys.

So you're referring to off the shelf models? Doesn't the dv6 have an optional backlit keyboard whereas the G62 does not? I'm actually limiting myself to the HP models with backlit keyboards but the G62 units are pretty nice!

EDIT: After trying to customize a dv6, there seems to be no backlit option (non SE models) but one of the quick ship models has it so I'm a bit puzzled!

dv6 feels (is) metallic outside, G62 plastic. Looks the same on pictures, sure did not feel the same when I tried them on shop yesterday :)

There is a (totally forgotten on these forums) plastic dv6-3000 you know...

Get the dv6. It's a higher quality laptop. The G62 is a budget model.
