I bought the dv6-3 myself , but the fan noise is really loud, also the hdd led and the charging led are on the right side of the notebook which is stupid , on the positive side the screen is good quality and the sound is good.

I sent my dv6-3 back and bought an Samsung R590 which runs very quiet even at full power.

I use to have an dv6-2 and it looked much better than the dv6-3 , but it had an problem with vertical lines on the screen, I had two replacement but they were all the same :(

    Hey Tinderbox.

How is the R590 working out for you, I am a Happy HP user but thinking of getting a R590 as a replacement but there doesn't seem to be a big user community out there so not too sure of any issues that might exist

    Thanks,
    J

I have had 15+ notebooks in the last couple of years, Sony, Acer, Hp, Toshiba ect, but the R590 is great , it runs quiet has an great Samsung screen, the sound it OK, with the SRS bass turned on full, the glossy screen is the only problem, but it has an plastic cover over it to protect it, it`s called edge to edge screen or something.

Mine looks a lot darker blue than it shows in the pictures.

Just asks if you have any questions.

15+ notebooks in the last few years? How many automobiles have you owned in the last few years?
