I have a dv6000 that would not charge, the battery had to be charged via another laptop. The power cord when plugged in would trigger the light, the unit would come on but it would not charge battery.

I took the usb power adapter out and replaced it. I put the mobo back in and plugged ac in light comes on but unit will not charge still.

When you say the USB Power Adaptor, what are you referring too?

If you look inside the DC Port is the Pin in there fine? I work for a warranty company and we get (not alot) but some AC Adaptors that power the indicator LED but can't power the machine. You may want to have your AC Adaptor tested, if you have a voltmeter you can do that yourself.
