I've got the HP Pavilion dv6405ca notebook. It's got an AMD Athlon X2 processor with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 video card and is running Windows Vista Home Premium. Currently I have the 6-cell battery that was given with the notebook (I bought it very recently-end August) which gives me hardly enough usage time on it, I could squeeze about 2 hours but on general it'll give about 90 - 100 minutes which for me isn't enough. I don't want to buy the 12-cell battery from HP cause firstly it will make the notebook ridiculously heavy, secondly cause it's quite expensive, if I could get a lighter solution elsewhere offering almost as much increase in usage time then I'd rather spend my $$ there or even if the 3rd party battery offers a decent increase in usage time (depends on the increase) then I'd rather spend my $$ there, and thirdly cause it raises the notebook beyond a level I would like it to be raised by. Are there any 3rd party manufacturers that offer HP Pavilion dv6000(z) compatible batteries, maybe 'higher capacity' batteries?

Look up the model number of the battery for your laptop on HP's website, then do a search on ebay for them. I've noticed new HP batteries for their laptops on ebay for close to half the price HP will sell them for directly. Give it a shot, you should find a good deal on the battery.
