    I know its like 1.3MP which is OK but can anyone give me any real world experience with this thing? Is it as terrible (as I have heard)? Does it warrant getting an external one and skipping this one altogether? Any advice is appreciated!

    I have succesfully used it for video chatting. It worked very well, clear, well focused and light balanced. I don't know what else I would use it for. If you are hoping to take photos this is probably not good enough.
