    Just out of the box, does everything work as stated in the owner's manual on these notebooks?

    Everything suppose to work. As a matter of fact, sometimes, that when it works the best. Sometimes.

    My notebook worked fine for a few weeks until the eject button start to give trouble. (Had to press it approx 3 times for it to open, but that problem got fixed.)
