    Hello All,

After reading many threads I decided to buy an HP Pavilion 6000t, specifically the dv6375us. After a couple of hours of use, the notebook is making this high-pitched annoying sound. It is not the fan, and not the sound the hard drive makes when opening or closing programs. It is this annoying high-pitched sound that just wont stop...My guess is that ti is from the CPU...

Do any of you hear this sound on your dv6375us also? I'm thinking of giving back the notebook and exchanging it for another one.

    Thanks!!

well, reading throughout forum about this buzzing sound problem, really makes me think of resufing any HP pavilion series notebook, though i've good offer here.

And installing some software, like RMAclock or changing battery power options, is not a good practice for brand new notebook. This should not be happening. I guess every users expect everything to be just fine, when he turn on newly purchased product. So this a stone into HP service garden.

Download latest BIOS. Enter BIOS. Go to System Configuration, disable CPU C4 feature.

If they refuse to anything about it, then yeah. In our program we use for logging calls and that stuff, it says right there that it's like that in most modern systems today. No mention of doing anything about it Im afraid. Just a solution to the problem, a solution that also makes battery life alot worse.

i couldn't find any info about buzzing noise on any other forum, but HP forum in one thread was overwhelmed with this issue. so i don't actually would believe it's about every notebook, besides majority of users report this problem, but some not. so why that?

I honestly have no idea. Some notebooks have it, some dont. I could ask at work, but I dont expect to get a good answer to this one. I only know what it says in that program.
