    HP dv6424ca battery issues

    I just bought a dv6424 and was wondering how long the battery should last? i have asked the dealer i got it from and they said it should last 2-3 hours. with the power save mode on and only doing simple word processing i will not even get 2 hours (avg. about 1% batt per min). is this right? how can i tell if my batt is defective, or if there is another issue with my computer?

    should last 2 1/2 -3 hours on low display settings
