    Anything dedicated is better than integrated graphics. It's worth the $50 upgrade, and you don't have to regret afterward.

    definitely go for 8400M, $50 is not bad at all

    I highly recommend 8400M over x3100 - better choice if you're planning to game. I can run SA in max settings (I don't remember resolution...it's probably low) and it'll be smooth. Plus I'm running PCSX2 on my notebook and I get playable speeds (26-40 FPS) for FFX/X-2 - although some settings will probably decrease frames to like 10-17 and FMV's are awful 15-20.
