    Guys,

    I will get a HP dv6575us, that comes with a 200Gb HD SATA 4200rpm.

Since 4200rpm is not that fast, i am thinking to buy an Western Digital 160Gb 2.5-inch SATA 5400rpm drive to use in notebook, and put the 200Gb in a external enclosure for use with movies, MP3.

My question is about how simple is to replace the internal HD and any 2.5" SATA drive will run in HP dv6575us ?

Which is better, Seagate or Western Digital ?

    Regards,

I would just buy a customised unit with the 5400rpm in it and then buy a separate external hard drive... that way you won't invalidate your warranty for no particular reason.

Are you buying the computer brand new? and how much it is going to cost you? It is very easy to replace the HDD. But if you are buying the computer used is better to buy a new one. If you end up getting the computer and you replace the HDD you can buy an enclusere and make an exteranl Hard drive with the 200GB hdd.

I am buying a brand new for $1350.

A customised unit direct from HP is $300 more expensive and don't have the time for waiting the delivery.

Thats why i was planning to use an external enclosure and replace the 200Gb with a faster one.
