I just got this laptop recently.

Does anyone know a quick way to toggle the IR functionality on and off?
When I'm using the remote for my mce machine the laptop goes nuts trying to do the same thing.

One other thing does anyone know of a way to use this port as a standard IR port?
That's what it was supposed to be according to the guy selling it. But I haven't been able to use it that way. Hell it doesn't even show up as an IR port in device manager.

    Thanks,

    Kenny

I used to be able to disable mine on the Device manager, it seems to have disappeared. The IR port drivers is bundled with the Quick Launch button drivers.

Why dont you just cover the IR port with electric tape or something?
