    My dv6770 is crashing a lot lately and I do not know why. any help wld greatly be appreciated.

    What kind of crash? Blue screen? Shutting down?

    Got it around Jan 08 it has windows vista on it. I wanted to give it to my gf as she currently does not have a computer. I have been online searching for a new computer and I think it got jealous and crapped out on me.

    complete shutdown

    then it doesn't want to start back up for about 5 min

    a sticker on it says nvidia graphics

    Common issue. Nvidia GPU is dying. There are two ways to fix it:

    1. New motherboard

    or

    2. Baking the GPU/motherboard (Google for methods and instructional videos)
