I'll see what I can do, but I have no idea how to do any benchmarking.

PS. I wish mine was at a FedEx facility. -
-
I wish mine wasn't collecting dust at the FedEx facility. =/ -
I got mine without the intel wifi, bad idea?
-
-
-
I would call HP and modify the order to include Intel Wifi.
-
Mine is still in china..... why do i have a bad feeling about that Friday ship date
-
Mine's in Utah...come to California already! >.<

Costco has the dv6t and dv7t ivy bridge pre-configured up now. Unfortunately, they offer them with lower res screens (1366 x 768 and 1600 x 900 respectively) and a lower class Nvidia chip (630M). Of course, select the option to customize either the two to get the 650M and screen upgrades.

Just ordered my new DV6T-qe 7xxx after sending back my 6xxx.
I got it for 1094.99 after using the 300 instant rebate, a 50$ techbargain coupon, and the student discount.

Press release for more HP notebooks. Looks like the dual core IB dv6, along with some other models are slated for June 20. The silver color looks quite good, imo.
-
Is there a possibility of buying after-market?
-
You can get an intel card with bluetooth for like $20-$25 off ebay. And the wifi card is easy to replace too, so not a big deal.
-
Since the first option (which I went for also, btw) is unbranded it is most likely Broadcom. The second option is just an Intel branded card. It will probably have a somewhat better battery life and range but I'm guessing something you would only notice if you had the two right next to each other. If you really want it I'd call them tomorrow morning and complain. Maybe something could happen.
And, like R3d so helpfully said up above, you can replace it pretty easily yourself. -
-
-
1 Both cards that hp offer are b/g/n, an after market card will have a/b/g/n
2 If you cancel the order your bank will hold your funds for 5 days, not sure if that matters to you but if you don't have enough money to place the order again that's another 5 days you have to wait. -

Does anyone have any suggestions for a cooling pad? I posted under the thread in the accessories forum but figured I'd ask around here too.

Just ordered a dv6t yesterday from HP and its going to be delivered today. I love that it's shipping from Memphis and I live in Memphis. My only problem is I just ordered an M14x R2 for around $650 with the Military discount on AAFES. It was almost half what I paid for the dv6t with almost the same specs...

I have tried alot of cooling "pads" this is a fan I bought from walmart that I zip-tied up under this makeshift "desk" lol, I get about 15 degrees difference under load.
Regarding the image I tried to post, nevermind apparently notebookreview still isn't accepting pictures and avatars.... but it's cool trust me. -
-
Fedex said there on the move
-
Mine still hasn't shipped and I ordered on the 1st...
-
Mine still has not shipped yet either. But i ordered it on the 2nd. Still in production and says shipping by the 16th.
-
-
BTW, I noticed that the new Envy laptops specify 1600 memory. -
Mine shipped! However, like so many others, it missed the Fedex cutoff and won't leave China til tomorrow.
-
Ditto on the memory.
for the DV7 I would love to know;
Does it come with a secondary drive caddy? the Italian review vid had it installed without a drive when he took the back cover off.
If the mssd really is msata? can it cache an HDD installed in the secondary bay? -
-
Anyone see the new ultrabooks hp has up? 2nd gen i-5 smh. It is sexy though
-
-
-
I want to know if the intel wifi w/bluetooth is the 2230 or 6235 model? Better be the 6235 or I will be disappointed!

Ordered on the 1st... It's supposed to be here by Friday the 11th. Still shows in Shanghai. I also ordered an aftermarket 6 cell battery. -
Most likely the Intel Wifi 2230, which still an improvement over the 1030.
-
There is a new review out for the dv6&7, it's the international version and he doesn't turn it on, but you get a better look at it.
