This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP dv6t 6XXX series -Graphics driver on ubuntu

    I have installed this version of ubuntu on my DV6 ubuntu-11.04-desktop-amd64 and i tried to install the propriety driver offered by ubuntu repository, but after installing it and clicking on Catalyst Control Center it said there is not ATI card on the system which is very weird.

    So anyone tried to install the open-source version of the drivers for both Radeon & intel graphics using ubuntu, and what is the exact command that i should issue on e.g. sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-radeon
