Screen of HP dv6t Quad Edition
    or any model no.

Is it better than Dell xps 15 l502x screen

how much color gamut does it has ?
Have u seen any review of its screen

But as far as i know its WLED unlike Dell's B+RG LED

    correct me if im wrong

60% gamut matte screen, not quite as good as the xps 15 screen but definitely a good screen.

    I meant 1080p Screen
But yaaaa if the 1080p screen of hp has 60%
then its quite weak as compared to dell xps 15 B+RG LED screen
N as far as i know
Hp has White LED unlike B+RG LED
But we cant make conclusion on just what we hear
If we had specs of Hp's Screen then it would have been easy to
    make a conclusion
How much better is Dell XPS 15 screen than Hp's
n Where Dell loses the battle n where it wins

There are a couple of different screens for the dv6. The exact models and spec sheets are somewhere in the Owners and Order Status lounges, but those threads are huge and the search function on this forum works poorly for me. The displays are widely acknowledged to be not as good as the one on the XPS15 (color gamut is lower), but on the other hand, they're matte rather than glossy like the Dell. I think those are the two biggest differences.

AUO13ED is one of the DV6T screens. It's really nice but only 60% gamut.

    L502x|
    15.6" FHD B+RGLED
    i7-2720QM

    Blu-Ray

I'd really like a conclusive list of the screens on the dv6/7t, a simple way to figure out what screen a laptop is using, and the pro's and cons of each screen...

I believe I have an LG, but that is only because the screen is a little blu-ish.

You know you can check what screen you have in device manager under HWID right?

Right click on it. Go to Properties, click the details tab and change the properties dropbox to HardwareIds to see which monitor you have.

What's the difference between it and the other displays that have been used in the dv6tqe? I know there was at least one other. OES or something?

AUO, and it had inferior brightness and contrast. Though it didn't have the "blue tint" that people are reporting with the LG display.

Guys should I return my LG panel dv6t? The blue tint bothers me, but I worry that if I exchange it I will just get the same panel again and will have to go through all the hastle. Anyone have any ideas?

I think the blue tint is indicative of a hypochondria error.

Yep - I concur. I thought I noticed the blue tint on my LG screen..but then I came across your post - it "enlightened me" and it is normal now!! Thank you :notworthy:

Pretty sure you will just get the same screen again, so it is definitely not worth the hassle.

Why don't you just calibrate the screen? It worked for the guy in the other thread complaining about this.

    EDIT: Here's the thread.

It does work - I did this too. I was surprised that just one "tick" of red helped. I thought it would just turn it to purple. I really like the screen all in all.
