    But then you hit configuration from the base price and it starts at 999.99. What's the deal?

    If I called in, which price would be the "right" one?

    The QuickShip model is $889.99. The configurable one is more expensive, but you can beat it down by a huge amount with coupons.

    The dv6t I want takes a month just to build. And I won't buy it until next week since I have to wait for the laptop I canceled to be received by me (shipped it today). To be honest, I don't even feel like buying from HP anymore...
