Anyone know why my dv6tqe would be making a tick like a clock whenever it is processing something (loading a new screen, etc.)? It doesn't seem to be coming out of the hard drive, but out of the speakers. I ran a quick test on HD Tune and the HD seemed to be fine (it's a Hitachi). The sound is amplified by my Mackie MR5 monitors, connected through an Mbox Mini 2. I can't seem to hear it when I'm playing games, and it's either extremely quiet or non-existent when I take the laptop downstairs. (On a sidenote, I get a BlueScreen error when I unplug my Mbox rather than eject it through Control Panel).

I think I've discovered that it only happens when it's plugged in. Edit: In other words, I believe the problem is something to do with the amount of things I have plugged in to the same place. The click goes away when it's not plugged into the port.

Edit: Problem fixed. Click the battery icon and choose "power saver".
