A few hours ago I ordered the dv6z with the 30% off coupon. The specs that I ordered are:
    • AMD Quad-Core A10-4600M Accelerated Processor
    • 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 System Memory
    • 2GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7730M Graphics
    • FREE Upgrade to 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
    • 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    • 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
    • SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
    • HP TrueVision Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone + HP SimplePass Fingerprint Reader
    • 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R)
    • Backlit Keyboard

I want to use my Samsung 830 256GB SSD and my full version of Windows 7. Please can someone please tell me which drivers I need to install and in which order to install them.

    1.

drivers for your model should be on the HP website.

when you get your computer/laptop it will have a product number, and you punch that into the HP website and it will give you all the info, specs and driver links for your product

    2.

If youre computer doesnt come with you a OS/recovery disk you can make one, but most people prefer a pure fresh install without the bloatware

    so...

You download a Windows 7 OEM disk (its legal, you can get them from microsoft.com), either burn it as a boot disk, or use the Window USB Boot Tool (also on microsoft.com)....

    Pop in SSD

    Install windows 7.

and then you use Windows activation key (bottom of laptop) to activate it.

Is it possible to clone the HP's hard drive to my Samsung SSD and do a minimal restore from the HP's recovery screen, if HP has that option?
