    HP dv7 keyboard fit dv9700?

    Anyone know if a dv7 keyboard would be interchangable with a dv9700? I like the look of the dv7 and think the keyboard would look great in my dv9700.

    I was gonna try use the dv5 keyboard for my model till i looked at the service manual. The newer DV keyboards are screwed down from the top, the older pavilions just had slide on tabs.

    You might be able to modify it to fit though. Refer to the dv7 service manual and photos.

    I have an extra dv7 bronze keyboard i could take a picture of because its not in the laptop to see if the connecters and screw holes line up. I do know that dv9000 keyboards have one screw hole on the bottom and so do dv7's
