    HP dv7t battery issue

    So i bought this laptop the hp dv7 quad core with 6770m radeon and 500g hardrive in june of 2011.. Since then ive had two problems which are really concerning me and costing me work.
    1. It overheats by just being on, it is to hot to hold if i play 15 minutes of a show in fullscreen.
    2. The battery at 100% equals to roughly 20-40 minutes of laptop being alive before it dies. (Right now its at 37% with 22 minutes remaining).

    Are these common problems or is it just a lemon that HP wont help me with??
