I was wondering what brand of Ram can you buy for this series that will fit. I have read in a few places the Corsair memory will not work or fit in this Laptop... any suggestions or comments are needed.

    Ram Specs:

    1GB 533MHz DDR2 SODIMM

I just got my dv8000t delivered on April 21st, 2006..I love it..I have 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512MB) @ 2.0 GHz. I had it custom built. You can go to one of the following web sites and they will check your computer for you and tell you exactly what you can use: http://www.memoryx.net/popo8512me.html
www.crucial.com I would choose the crucial one my self. I haved used Crucial for my Dell Desktop computer and haven't had any problems at all. They guarentee their stuff for the life time of use.

Now for a question for me: I use the mouse "snap to" feature (control panel > mouse > pointer tab> "Snap to") this allows my mouse to always default to the yes, no or cancle boxes that appear when installing or doing almost anything, instead of moving the mouse from where ever it is on the screen.
For somereason, evertime I restart or turm off then back on, the computer always forgets that setting and I have to do it all over again..Any Ideas????

Then next problem I have is when I go to shut down.. I get this error message: and error at 0x77600f57 referenced memory @ 0x6b20901c "memory could not be read" ....Any Ideas here?????
