I can't see why you wouldn't get the WSXGA+ screen. It is bright enough and it is a much better resolution, everything must look huge with a WXGA+ screen?
-
I've seen a dv9000t with the 1440x900 screen, and it isn't too bad. The icons and such aren't all that huge, but I'd still prefer the 1680 x 900 if I got a dv9000t.
-
if they dont offer the screen you want in your region then you have no choice but to see why ppl cant buy the WSXGA+ hehe

I tried the Ultra BrightView and the higher resolution models side by side, and I couldn't resist the brightness/richness of the Ultra BrightView's colors -- it was spectacular. With other bright screens they're often headache-inducing, but this one, even on its brightest setting, doesn't give me any eye strain at all -- just much more vivid. Resolution of the Ultra BrightView suits me just fine too.

Thanks, I will PM you to test something on the Ultra Brightview.

First off hi to all,i have the 1440x900 ultra bright view for 2 main reasons it features 72% colour gamut really nice deep color the other screens are only 45/50 and it shows, the other selling point was the 16 ms responce time the higher res screens are around 25ms.

I got the brightview 1440x900. it looks good. not the best screen ive ever seen, but it's definately not the worst either. IMO they all look great. although the ultrabrightview would have the best brightness, i'm happy with what i got.

I have 1680x900 and love it. -
I have the ultra bright view, and to me it's amazing! It's a pleasure to look at.
-
It´s sad that the Ultra Brightview is not available in scandinavia for regular customers, as we can´t configure on our own.

Yeah, and please note that Ultra Bright is not just about brightness.
In HPs words:
Bigger, brighter, better!! HP's Ultra BrightView is a composite of all available LCD technologies currently offered by HP consumer notebooks. Ultra BrightView displays include an improved color gamut rated at 72% - more colors can be displayed as a result of the improved technology! -

I have thsi screen: 17.0" WXGA+ High-Definition BrightView Widescreen Display (1440 x 900) & it is MUCH better than the screen on my old Gateway 8510 GZ.
While smaller resoloutions are sharper, it comes a time when too small comes into play & you need a magnifyer to see! -
17.0" WXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1440x900)
Quick question?
The one question i have is i just ordered a laptop with a 17.0" WXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1440x900) display
the next upgrade is only 50 bucks... but is the improvement noticable.. the improvement is ultrabright (1680x1050)
the money is not the object it is whether or not i would see a great difference
mind you this is not a gaming machine
Your Feedback is appreciated -
it doesnt matter if its a gaming machine because the go7600 wud never be able to handle modern games at 1680x1050, it barely runs them at 1440x900.
ultrabright makes the screen brighter than your usual so yes there is a difference but the higher resolution might make the icons and characters too small for u tho not every1 complains about this. for $50 i say why not -
Well as of yesterday i ordered the brightview wide screen with the dimensions of 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050)
-For some odd reason a few days later it was cheaper than the computer i ordered 4/4 with (1440x900) dimensions.. go figure.. .. the downside is i have to wait 4 extra days for the new comp .. as i get the first one i ordered sometime this week
