I got my dv9207 form Compusa yesterday and just finished setting it up. It came with Home Vista Basic. I have to admit, it is quite a pretty instrument.
It logs into my winXP Home network and sees/grabs files from other Network computers alright. But other computers on the network, although sees my dv9207, but cannot grab files. Error message "not enough security previlige" I am still attempting to figure it out. I am using a Linksys router and have both wired and wireless connection in a WEP protected network. All other computers are running winXP home and talked to each other with no problem. This dv9207us is running Vista. And also the network printer, a HP1010 laser printer, is NOT able to install on the dv9207 because of "no privilege". It appears there is some security difference between the dv9207us and my home network, which is designated private in the Vista's term. Any suggestions? The dv9207us logged into the network via password protected WIFI. When other network computers tried to look at the shared folder in the dv9207us, they flagged the error message, but they never ask about any password. Thanks for the help![]()
TIA
The HP printer is attached to a desktop running winXP and functions as a network printer. All other winXP laptops using the printer and have no problem.
