I just bought an HP dv9235nr with Vista Home Premium from Best Buy. I'm trying to connect to our home wireless network, but in the HP Wireless Assistant it says that the computer's WLAN is disabled in Device Manager. When I open Device Manager though, the wireless card doesn't even show up... all that's there under Network Adapters is the ethernet card.

How can I enable my wireless card so I can connect to the network?

Is there a wi-fi on/off switch on the notebook? If so, make sure it's set to the ON position.

Seems a hardware issue if you don't have it in the device manager.
Check if you can unplug it and plug it again.
    Maybe update BIOS if persist

    Hope that help.
    Craig.
