 I know I read someone elses post last week about this - but couldn't find it.
I've had my DV9500 for about 2 weeks now (love it) - but I'm having issues with the TV Tuner card. It doesn't lock into place. It's so touchy. When you touch the cord, close the screen, bump it with the mouse etc - it pops out. Not all the way, but just enough to make it stop working. Kinda annoying. :(
    Anyone else? Any solutions? Thanks

Yea plenty of people really dislike the Express Card Slot because whatever is placed there, like the TV Tuner Card, gets displaced extremely easily. If it gets that cumbersome you can always use a USB based TV Tuner. This would have to be a last resort because you already payed at least $100 bucks if you bought it from HP, but with a USB based one you wont have these problems.

There are several HDTV USB Tuners and I plan on getting one of these over the Express Card and the prices range from like 60 - 200 bucks. Google search below of various USB Tuners. Hope I helped.

Thanks, I may return the HP expresscard TV tuner and go with the Pinnacle Pro Stick or the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950. Cheaper and connects via USB 2.0. Anyone have more advice? Is it hard to return the TV tuner to HP??

If you get the WinTV-HVR-950 be sure you have a T2500 or higher

Newbie question alert: T2500? My laptop specs are posted on the signature line - brand new. Will it be good enough? Thanks
    Dell.com has the WinTV-HVR-950 for under $80.

I dunno, mine stays pretty secure in my slot. Might be a difference between the 2500t and the 9500t.

A couple of questions about tuner card.

Is it possible to get both digital and analog OTA stations configured at the same time in Media Center? I can get both digital and analog but have to reconfigure to switch.

The dv9500t has a built in IR port on the front. Is there a way to get it to work with the remote that comes with the tuner card or do you have to use the USB extender?

Noticed that the reason why the expresscard TV tuner pops out so often could be because it was pushed in TOO FAR. Because you have to push it in to eject it - I may have been pushing it in to the point where it was hanging on the edge of ejecting. So now it seems to find a happy medium spot - not all the way in. Still kinda touchy - but not nearly as bad.

Thats a problem with the express card slot no matter what you put in there it is always easy to dislodge it
