    HP dv9500t laptop and projector problem

    My Dell 2300 mp projector worked very well with my old Dell laptop. But when I hook up to my new HP dv9500t laptop the projected image is oriented as a vertical rectangle with the left and right sides cropped off rather than the usual horizontally oriented rectangle. Even the desktop projects in this way. Any ideas out there?

    you should check your projector settings for a computer mode
