    I have an HP DV9810us.
The laptop keeps trying to start and restart..

    Please someone help.
I have no screen / blank, black.
This laptop is not suppose to fall in the category of the hp's video card issues.
I plugged it into the monitor and still no screen.
There was a green screen followed by a checker boarder.

Product Specifications HP Pavilion dv9810us Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

    Microprocessor 2.00 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-60

But I'd say it still fits in the nVidia CHIPSET issue. Those video cards were just the most common issue. System chipsets (NF430 etc.) that came from the same factory line have exactly same problem with the solder.

Thank you for the reply ! :)
I looked into the links provided and got into Youtube searching. I ended up buying a pen torch and torching my GPU chip. " re-flow ".
The laptop is now installing fresh VISTA from the DVD's. ( it worked! ) LOL.
After hooking the monitor up to the laptop ( no battery or HDD ) I saw HP logo. Turned off and was happy!
I also bought a copper sheet and Arctic Silver5.
Removed the sponge from the GPU and replaced with a piece of copper sheet square.
    The fan was perfectly clean.

    Thank you again :)
