A few months ago I upgrade my dv9t from vista to windows 7. As a result, I lost all of my HP drivers which was good, and bad. I manually installed all the drivers that were critical to run (graphics, BIOS update, sound, etc.). My issue is the need to use the built in microphone and how I can enable/install a driver to use it for skype. My microphone jack works fine but dont always have a headset on me. My only sound driver for recording is the Realtek HD Audio, and a virtual device I use for other programs. Does anyone know of a driver I can install that will reactivate the onboard microphone?

    Any help would be great!

It shouldn't need one, does it not appear in your sound properties?

No the only thing that shows up in my sound properties is as follows (hopefully this is what you are refering to):

    Playback:
    Speakers (Avnex Virtual)
    Speakers (Realtek)
    Realtek Digital Output

    Recording:
    Microphone (Avenx Vitual)
    Microphone (Realtek)

This is why I feel like I'm missing a driver to "point" to the onboard mic.

Are there any unknown devices in your hardware manager?

The only devices under sound, video, and game controllers are the two audio drivers. Under system devices, there aren't any unknown fields. As a side note the "HP Webcam" is recognized under Imaging Devices.
