Why wont HP put higher end graphics cards in their laptops? I realize that better graphics cards mean more heat, more fans, and more noise but they could at least allow you to upgrade say the dv9000 to an ati 1800 or 1900 or an nvidia 7900gs or gtx.

I do realize that HP does have VooDoo for gaming but they are overpriced.

hp isn't trying to appeal to gamers. they're trying to appeal to mainstream/business users.

Graphics cards are proprietary. If you have a need for more gaming power, you should consider a different laptop. Unfortunately laptops are not as upgradeable as desktops.
