High performance Laptops & Netbook PCs | HP Official Store

I woke up this morning to see that the graphics options on the HP laptops have changed. Instead, many of theirs say they now carry Radeon Discrete Graphics, but they don't say what they are. Only exception is the dv6z quad edition. They used to have the 6770m in them, or the 6750m, but it seems to be gone. I was planning to buy one of these, but the removal of the video cards has bothered me.

Can someone tell me what kind of graphics they have now (they are not very definitive at all!)?

oh well that's awful. I was planning to buy a dv6t with the 6770m GPU but now I can't. At least the dv6z quad edition still has the 6750m, but I hope they do not change that too

i think dvz will also be powered by 76xx series graphics ... they must be better than 67xx graphics..

I think DV6z will carry the rebadged version of HD6750M which is HD7670M. Expect slight performance increase.

New DV6t are getting HD7690M XT(in my country at least) which reportedly a significant increase in performance over HD6770M from early benchmark.

I was told by another person that they just are the 6770m, but they are giving them weird names for some reason. But the GPUs in the envy are upgraded

I just wonder what the 1GB AMD Discrete Card in the dm4t Beats Edition is? I wonder if its a 7670M... In which case, M14x killer!

Hah, just checked, the Dm4tbe is a 7470M. Rebadged 6470M, fail.

so does that mean that the 6770m graphics card I just got on my dv7tqe should be good or are they still going to be upgrading that to a better one? notice my lack of knowledge with the wording of my question I do apologize

The 6770M is basically the same as the 7670/90M. Your fine.

I do not believe they have changed the video cards on the regular Pavilion series, so you should be okay Fictorie :)

Even if they did, the 7670 would be slightly, ever so slightly better, to an unnoticeable difference better than the 6770. Like what kevman said :)
