Yesterday I wanted to reinstall my os, so I inserted the windows 7 CD and wanted to boot it by pressing any key. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally skipped that part, so I had to wait until my PC starts then shut it down again. I was to lazy to wait for all that so I just pressed the power button until the notebook force closed. Then I turned it on again and this time I sucesufuly booted from the CD. I formatted everything, made 2 new partitions and installed windows 7. The process went well, the laptop rebooted after the process and ever since then it gets stuck at the HP logo. It tells me to press the esc key for startup menu but it doesn't respond to anything, not even on f1-f12. The moment I press the power button it turns of immediately, I don't have to keep it pressed or anything. I unplugged everything, removed the battery and kepped pressing the power button for 25 seconds as I read somewhere on internet, plugged the charger while the battery was still removed and turned on the machine. Still stuck at the HP logo. Is my notebook dead?

Can you get into the BIOS and reset it back to defaults, save, then restart?
