The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP lowers V3000 price and includes options

    HP recently lowered the base prices for the Comapq Presario V3000. The base price is now $529 US (after rebates) for both the Intel and AMD models.
    (personally, i think the AMD model is the better deal becuase of the significantly better IGP graphics chipset).
    However, features such as BrightView, the Imprint finish, microphone, and Quickplay are now options (you have to pay more for them). I guess this is good for those who don't need these features (like me) and have been waiting for HP to lower the prices (still no option of the Sempron processor in Canada yet though :mad: ).
