I am amazed at the number of posts I have uncovered about HP laptops having keyboard problems. I bought the Pavilion DV6-2150 last year and less than a year later, a key popped off. HP wants me to send my PC to them for repairs, but I say no because it is a business tool of mine that I use daily and cannot be without. I asked them if they would send the replacement part out to me so I can have a local Staples serviceman repair it in a days time and they refused to do that for me. I feel I am being backed into a corner and having to settle with a defective HP laptop. I would never recommend a HP laptop to anyone. If a manufactering defalt exists, it means you will be without your PERSONAL COMPUTER. Buy a dependable, well made one. Like the one I gave up to my daughter to buy this lousy one.....and it is still reliable. IT WAS A GATEWAY BRAND. I took that laptop everywhere for 3 years before giving it up to my daughter. And, I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY GATEWAY.![]()

Strange. A good keyboard is the one thing that every one of my HP notebooks have had in common. The keyboard on my dv6-1260se was by far the best I have ever used.

So an isolated misfortune means an absolute significance between "HP" and "lousy"?
Alright. I'll use my perfectly fine dm4-1253cl with a beautiful, smooth, and comfortable keyboard in the mean time
