okay so i have a birthday on the 9th, and i think i want something cool. here's my situation. i have a HP DV5T which is awesome. plays all my games, and is quite possibly the perfect laptop. but, has anyone seen how cool the mini note is??? dear god, my only problem is justifying the price, and if i need it. i go to college and live in a dorm. would buying the mini note completely destroy the reason i have a $1500 laptop in the first place?

i do work at best buy, and theirs is $399 and it's got 16GB SSD, 2gb HP flash module.
1.) it says it has a "bluetooth bus enumerator"? is that a bluetooth module or no? i do ask because it plays a small factor in the purchase.

2.) secondly, does anyone know if the mini note at Best Buy has that cool HP software on it? our display doesnt, so i do wonder.

[at HP.com in the APP store i can get the same one (16gb SSD, and bluetooth for sure) for $437. i might go there?]

    thanks in advance!

well if you go to college and live in a dorm, the hp mini note is made for mobility just like all the rest of netbooks, they are made for typing and surfing and small tasks, so it would not be a waste to me.

but it depends if you would really use it, if you would use it id get it.
but sorry im not sure about the hp software and stuff, just answered the opinionated questions.

also i have a question, how much is your discount at bestbuy if your an employee, sorry :|

you get at cost + 5%. however on computers and such, there's no discounts at all. make that be a lesson for those best buy customers who like to haggle, the laptops are at cost, and almost under cost. We have no room to throw in a free bag with your laptop... oh well though.

i think if i did buy the mini note i'd literally have it in my bed so i could check email in the morning w/o getting out of bed.... and i'd maybe take it to class cause its so small...but i take my laptop now and there's no real big problem. who knows. maybe i should look at some other things to change my mind.

ok thanks, cause i was just woundering to see if i could maybe get a job to get good deals lol.

but if you would like to buy it, before you should look around like you mentioned, just incase you make a mistake about your purchase

maybe after buying my new notebook this summer, if i have alot left over ill take a look at the hp mini, that is if they dont come out with a newer versioin or w.e
