I'm purchasing the NC8430 in a couple of days and wanted to know if a docking station is worth it?... I will be using it with my Dell 20" LCD on DVI, keyboard, mouse etc...
Which model # docking station should I get?
Where is the best place to order it from?... same goes for the laptop, I don't want to have to wait a month from HP.
EDIT: This is the laptop: http://www.costcentral.com/proddetail/HP_Compaq_Business_Notebook_nc8430/RB554UTABA/K76829/ - docking stations available are listed below... whats the main difference minus the HD?

Thanks for the reply, what is the real difference? Apart from a couple extra USB ports on some models I don't see where the extra $70+ is going?
... As I say I plan to plug in my Dell FPW-2005 via DVI, however it's currently plugged into my desktop and I wouldn't want to interrupt that as I will still be using it... is there such a thing as DVI-in DVI-out 'gadget'? -
Use the SmartBuy (EN488UT#ABA) to get the Basic Docking Station for less.
BTW, if you are asking about the $70 price difference between the Basic and Advanced Docking Station, here is what the Advanced has over the Basic:
1) Two more USB ports. (USB hubs are cheaper though)
2) ExpressCard slot (Almost nothing out there for this slot...useless as far as I'm concerned)
3) Multibay Slot (for 2nd Optical Drive or Hard Drive)...this is good, but you're better off with USB versions of DVD+/-RW or HDD. That way they still work with other computers.
In other words: the Basic Dock is better IMHO -
Great! Thanks for the info, I'm going to go ahead and order the cheaper docking station and the nc8430 today.
