have u tried the official hp website?
right here --> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3466301&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us
*edit - nvm they're not on there, just google each device that shows up as unknown in google and get the official drivers for them. -
I don't think any computer company supports XP any more. I know dell doesn't either
-
This may sound stupid and crazy, but how about trying the drivers for dvx500t found in this thread? I'm guessing you can get the display drivers from NVIDIA's website, LAN from Realtek's.

funny hp still sells laptops with xp , as does dell , no support ? maybe for home , but buisness class sure does !
some of your info is a bit , well not true ? -
I have the x5xxT and the drivers on hp are only for like a few things. Is there a website that has all the official HP drivers. Besides the vid card thats a forceware I dont neeed official ones but everything else. Thanks

Most of the drivers for your system should be available online. Nvidia should have the chipset/ethernet driver for the nforce 4xx chipset used in the series. Laptopvideo2go should have the necessary drivers for the GPU. The rest should be standard components HP most likely would have used on many of their notebooks. for the audio/modem, wifi, media card readers look under either dv6000z or the V6000z series. These should have all the necessary drivers to run XP on that system. You wont find them at one place but they should be available if you look around.
As for as not supporting XP, the F500 series you bought included Vista and they support that and just like any other OEM, they support whats been pre installed on the system. Anything else and its upto to you to find the drivers. However they do still sell and support XP on the business class machines and also the V6700tx(US model) which is only sold with XP. -
HP should continue to support XP because we are still in a transitional stage going to Vista. Since they didn't provide an XP Driver CD with my lappy, I think it is unfair on their part not to post the XP drivers on their site.

They Support only the Corporate sector for XP & that too minimal support..
MS is retiring XP end of 2008!.....2008 i am moving to MAC OS coz MAC will launch more more more Games for MAC OS..
MS...take this : -|- -
Well from what I read on HP's site your laptop isnt even offered in the XP variety so you bought a laptop with Vista Home Premium and now you're mad because you bought the wrong product? If you wanted a laptop with XP then why buy a laptop with Vista?? ...then be mad at HP because you made a poor buying decision, how is it their fault?!.... all I can say is wow. I am not trying to offend you or be an HP fanboy but you should read and research a product before you buy so you KNOW it will do what you need it to do.
Anyway good luck with your driver problem and in the future you may want to consider doing a bit more reading to avoid these kinds of problems.

HP still supports XP on laptops that were released with XP. HP does not support XP on laptops shipped with Vista, and there's no reason for them to have to do so. It's been pretty much this way since Vista was released.

Tell me dude...How much Percentage of Laptops in the market come with XP?
And out of that how many actually have good config?
MS as u know treats every company like a man treats a call girl ....No comments! -
Microsoft has the right to ban all sales of XP and force Vista only on every single laptop. Still doesn't change the fact the HP doesn't need to support XP on a laptop shipped with Vista. Like Reby said, it is your responsibility to know what you are purchasing.

how did you dual boot Windows Vista and XP?
ive been trying to do that for a while with Vista installed first -
My point is: HP should make available to their customers the choice of installing either XP or Vista. Or an option to downgrade from Vista to XP. -
Sure, but you realize that offering one OS is a cost-cutting tool, right? By only offering Vista, they only have to support one OS, saving them a ton of money. If you want XP, purchase from their business line, more expensive, but better.
