It started off with no 3d laptop customizable laptops for sale.
Then the prebuilt 3d laptops were no longer for sale.

I want a fast 3d laptop 17" with a dedicated 650M or faster graphics card for $1100 with a coupon is that even possible anymore? It used to be. I just sold my old dv7t 650m i7 3610 laptop and now regretting it.

When will HP have another 3d laptop or did they give up the game?

Wanting to pay only $1,100 is asking a lot for a 3D laptop. I don't know when one might return to HP. The last of the ENVY 17 3Ds sold out a few weeks ago when they ran the $800 off coupons.

look for the next generation of premium laptops from hp (prolly a new line of products.)but that will prolly be closer to haswell release so still half a year or so away. I would probably just get one from retailers since they usually have good pricing if you know where to look.

Most manufacturers have abandoned 3D laptops. They never really took off.

Crap! Did the other manufactures have the issues of no switchable graphics as the hp 7850m did?

Personally, I still feel 3D is a fading fad.

If I can get a farkin job before graduation, I'd be happy to jump aboard in 6 months using a coupon. My notebook has been getting weird reboots once a blue moon with the warranty due to die in August (note: SquareTrade's warranty isn't all that comprehensive). A Haswell-powered Envy 15 with a decent GPU, awesome IPS screen sans red color bug, good battery life, and a thin/light form factor is easily worth $1,000+ in my book.

i dont think we will be getting great deals like we did for the current envy line up (30% off, 600$ off, etc.) but they will probably be priced competatively with the rmbp and asus u500

Crap I hope they offer some deal. I have been without a laptop for almost a month now.

It's crazy 6 months ago i buy this for $1005 with a coupon

    -hp 17" 650m i7 1tb 1080p

Now it's more expensive a half a year later. ?! I am not willing to spend more for the same technology 6 months later.
