I just got my DV5t last week. I ordered it on blackfriday. I noticed now that it does not have IEEE 1394 mini-Firewire port on the left side.

the dv5t review here has a picture with firewire port. did HP actually make a mistake and miss out the port on my laptop?

edit: or I don't have firewire port because I don't have Nvidia card?

Yes on the order page it will say firewire and gigabit ethernet is included with the Nvidia card.

I believe HP omitted this information in the past. Alot of people were annoyed finding out their new montevina notebook didnt come with gigabit ethernet.

    Nope.

You have 100mbps instead of 1000mbps ethernet.

The Montevina platform is supposed to have gigabit ethernet as standard, not sure why HP nerfed it.
