Hi all,
I have a HP nx9010 and it has some issues .
If I turn it on after a night (or a long period of time) of beeing turned off, it works properly (loads everything, even windows) for about 5 minutes and then it freezes, but the cooler still works.![]()
If i reset it right away, it won't even load BIOS, freezes again right at the begining (it's the screen with the HP logo in the middle and the "Press ESC for ... and F2 for setup .. etc." message at the bottom) .
This happens only if the power cable is plugged in . If I switch to the battery, it runs out in 2-3 mins.
Even though windows tells me I have 100% battery power and about 30mins, it runs out in about 2-3 minutes.
And if I recharge it for a long time, it still runs out in 2-3 minutes .
I think it's the power cable that messes everything up .
Did anyone else had this problem ?
Can anyone help me with this matter ?

Nobody else had this problem or can give me some pieces of advice ?

I've got the AC cable checked and it's ok . It (i don't know the appropiate word for it) does 18.9 V , which is just fine ... but it still doesn't work properly if I remove the battery and leave only the ac pow. cable.

is it still under warranty? if so ill get it checked cuz it sounds like an intenral fault, nothing with the AC or battery i think.

Hey, thanks for the reply !
No, it's not under warranty unfortunately .
Now, if I press ESC when I start the computer, it shows this message :
[...]
446M Extended RAM Passed
128k Cache SRAM Passed
System BIOS shadowed
Video BIOS shadowed
Now... some users on other forums said that the RAM could be the problem because the message on my computer is 446M and should be 448 .
I've searched on google for this and found out that some of the computers from acer and HP show the same message.
How could it be a problem for my hp nx9010 ?
HP nx9010 freezes after 5 min
