    Ok ,so :
    1) recovery disk does not work, some people says it`s due to the change of the mbr, well, can`t fix it, no xp cd will boot into repair mode,SATA and all
    2) can`t make recovery disks, though I never made them before. I complained to HP about this, but of course, my product is no longer support.screw their mailing support, like it's that hard to answer as to why i could not make those disks
    3) if i try to double click on C:/ , or d:/ or E:/ ,my primary partitions, a windows pops up with "open with"
    4) even though i set the option to view hidden files, it will NOT reveal them,no matter what

    HELP :D

Oh really? I did try that / :)
The thing is, the option for "always use this program" is greyed out.
I am asking for serious answers,it`s not like I haven`t tried everything else so far. :)

Well, still no luck. Have no idea what else to do, I ran a fixboot and fixMBR on it, but the Recovery Console is still not answering :(
Not to mention the other issues..

    Ok,update..
I can now open the Local Disks, it seems that there was a virus , autorun.inf which prevented me from opening local disks with double click.
I still have the issue with the recovery console,it doesn`t work,i can`t make any cds for recovery, even though i never made them, and still , if I set to view hidden files,it automatically resets the option to do not show the hidden files...
Any suggestions would be apreciated, and also...if I run fixboot in the XP repair console...will it do anything bad? like rendering windows useless...

I`ve messed around with TuneXp, CrapCleaner, I`ve defragged the drive, all the basi cleanup...nothing...still no way to get those recovery cds :(
