Right now there's a 5% online coupon available. Does HP typically offer decent coupons ... ? Should I wait for a better one? Do you think they'll be better deals as we approach the school season?

I just bought a DV5t, and utilized the 5% coupon, plus the epp discount from my employer, if your in school you may be able to get an academic discount (app). It's an additional ~$90 off a DV5t. I think you can expect more upgrade discounts, as far as coupons, most coupons better than 5% will be on the older Centrino 1 based notebooks and older AMD notebooks, so if that's what you want, it may be worth waiting. Most back to school deals are already happening. HP offers a 21-day price guarantee, so if your recent purchase goes on sale, they will credit your card the difference.

NB6997 is the coupon you need ($400 off laptop 1299 or more). However, APP doesn't stack with it.

    Would they price-match coupons?
