You're the jailhouse lawyer, why don't you tell us......

Never heard of an OEM-reseller agreement?

You might just as well ask if Best Buy, with their in-house Insignia brand, somehow 'owns' all of the other 'brands' they have for sale.

Of if Ford somehow owns Bridgstone tires.

    etc, etc.

I dont know... I just noticed you can buy a panasonic toughbook on the HP website.... so unless HP is messed up they have some kind of financial intrest in Panasonic

    I repeat

Never heard of an OEM-reseller agreement?

Doesn't require any kind of 'messed up' or financial interest in anyone. Just a reseller agreement.

link? Maybe Hp broke the agreement they had with Getac. I suppose they only sell fully rugged and semirugged ones though.

HP also sells various name-branded (LG, Vizio, etc...) televsions. I do not see it any different than them offering Logitech and Microsoft branded accessories, which I would imagine compete directly against their in-house HP brand.

At last check, Matsua Electrical, owns Panasonic (maybe the other way around now). They also own brands such as Goldstar, Orion and Emerson, if I am not mistaken.
