    Hi,
i know i'm new and all but i have been lurking around these forums the last few days and been reading a lot of the topics. But yeh im trying to downgrade my laptop to windows XP.

Pretty much when i pop in my XP cd, it cant see the 160gB HD. So after ready numerous topics here... I tried:

    - Slipstreaming the sata drivers and making a new XP CD - but that kept failing... as the new XP CD could not be read properly.. and would not even boot up.

    - Checked out the BIOS looking to disable SATA - but there was no option to be found there.

    - And finally i even tried buying a USB floppy drive to install the SATA hdd drivers ... and even after i installed the drivers.. the xp cd could not see the hdd...

so im bummed out.. and out of options :#... really appreciate any help. thanks.
