    HP pavilion dv5 doesin't turn on

    Hello
    I have HP pavilion dv5 and it doesn't turn on. Allso leds don't work (i red articles with simmilar problems, then leds blink, tried restarting, removing ram and hdd, noethink helped).
    So my laptom dosn't respond at all, when i charge it, charging led doesn't work too.
    Please help.

    Could be your AC adapter. If you have a voltmeter you can test it. It should output around 19VDC. Or it could be the 3 prong cord leading to the adapter.

    What model of DV5 do you have? AMD CPU/GPU, Intel CPU/Nvidia 9200M/9600M, or Intel with integrated graphics?

    You can also try; battery out, AC adapter out, hold power button for 30 secs. Let go. Then plug AC adapter back in (no battery) and press the power button.

    As what NBR's uber fantastic macro mod 2.0™ said, we need to know what model your referring to about. I have a DV5-12345DX and still works so unless you can be more precise which model your talking about it's hard to know what diagnosis to look for.

    Remove the main battery then open the hood and pull the CMOS save battery.
    Press power button to drain any currant than replace the CMOS battery followed by the main battery.
