    Hi all,

Just reformatted my friend's old HP Pavilion ze2000. Installed windows XP professional onto it. However, running into some problems with the driver installation.

    I've been using this site:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=444477#
    in order to download drivers.

However, some of them do not work with her laptop!
The wireless card and synaptics touchpad drivers work fine.

The processor, display and audio drivers are NOT working.
I'm troubled because the graphics driver on the website is intel, but there's an AMD processor inside her laptop, I do not understand why the driver is made by intel but the processor is AMD. Unless it's a mistake on the HP website?

Once the audio driver installs, it just states the result as FAILURE. Not much other information provided here.
More info to come. As far as we know, this laptop is just straight pre-configured. No customization of any sorts.

HP sold both Intel and AMD versions of the ze2000 and looks like someone at HP messed up with putting the drivers in the correct page. In any case, the ze2000z support page should provide you the correct drivers. Ofcourse skip installing the Intel drivers and install the broadcom drivers for the wifi and the ATi driver for the video card.

Try the Conexant AC97 drivers located here for the audio...
