This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP quickplay installer

    Where can I find HP quickplay installer. There is a web update file available on HP site (!), but there is no installer for the file itself.

    Hp does not offer Quickplay as a separate download since they bundle the software with their hardware. The only way to get it would be from the SWSetup folder located in C: of the stock Windows installations.

    There are places on the web from which you can download but I wouldn't really rust those sources.

    Th problem is I reinstalled my own windows, and have not the preinstalled swsetup folder.

    If you were to do a "Factory Recovery" you would have the folder on your system drive. If you have a program to image the drive, you could make an image of your current system, then do a factory restore, save the SWSETUP folder to a disk, then reload your image.
